If you think of the word “Michelin”, the first things that come to mind are likely to be “restaurants”, “Gordon Ramsey” – basically anything that has to do with overpriced, expensive food.
This isn’t the case anymore.
This year’s Singapore Michelin Guide saw 17 hawker stalls receive the Bib Gourmand rating – exactly half of the 34 food places that made the cut.
To qualify for the rating, must offer a good value meal under $45.
It isn’t surprising if prices increase in the near future – as a netizen aptly put it, it’s the “perfect chance” to do so.
And these hard-working hawkers certainly do deserve the recognition.
So hurry on down before your favourite laksa goes from $6 to $10 a bowl!
