Would you want to eat some free chilli crab? How about 3 free chilli crabs? Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood near Upper Thomson Road has something for you.
There’s a catch, though.
You’re not going to get 3 free crabs for no reason, of course. You have to participate in their limited time eating competition.

In the vein of food challenges like burger challenges and ramen challenges, you are required to devour the crabs under 30 mins. Should you be able to do so, you wouldn’t have to pay for the crab. It’s a total of more than 2 kg of crab, 6 mantous and the gravy sitting with the crabs in the large bowls.
Oh yeah, you have to finish everything within the 30 mins.
If you fail the challenge, you, unfortunately, have to pay for the crabs, which will set you back $100. Honestly, though, $100 for 3 crabs and 6 mantous isn’t that expensive for chilli crab.
And looking at the mouthwatering pictures of those delicious crabs, it’s very hard to resist the temptation.
