The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to a fire at Block 19 Punggol Field Walk at approximately 7pm on 6 Aug 2025.
The address corresponds to Waterwoods executive condominium.
SCDF Responds to 16th Floor Blaze at Waterwoods
Firefighters arrived to find the living room of a 16th-floor unit engulfed in flames. SCDF personnel forcibly entered the unit to access the scene.
Four people were discovered inside the burning unit during the firefighting operation. All four individuals were conscious when found and were brought to safety by firefighters.
The fire was extinguished using a water jet. SCDF assessed all four people for smoke inhalation.
Evacuation and Hospital Treatment Following Punggol Fire
Three of the four individuals found in the unit required hospital treatment. Two were taken to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, while one was conveyed to Singapore General Hospital.
The fourth person declined hospital treatment.
Police and SCDF officers evacuated approximately 100 residents from the affected block as a precautionary measure during the incident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by authorities.
In 2020, a fire broke out in a unit on the same floor and block of the condo.
The incident, which involved the contents of a bedroom, led to six people being rescued from the fire.
