Firefighters are known to be fearless men and women, ready to take on any tasks given in making the world a safer place. From fires to heights and dealing with corpses, a brave firefighter plucked his courage and approached a floating body in the river of China.
A video upload by People’s Daily recently showed a young firefighter slowly approaching a floating body that appeared “dead”. The scene attracted a small crowd of people with many of them discussing and fishing out their cell phones to film the process.
However, the event took a quick turn and made the brave firefighter sprinting back to shore from the middle of the shallow river. Apparently, the “dead” man was 100% not dead but just napping in the river. We’re definitely thinking what you’re thinking, how is that possible, right?
After being questioned, the man casually answered that he was looking for a way to cool himself down in the humid weather and had fallen asleep. Certainly sounds like the waters was too relaxing for him, wasn’t it? It definitely sounds like a water relaxation course that we can learn at the Community Centre.
He woke up immediately after the firefighter tried prodding the body and was about to pull him back to shore. In a lighthearted humored scene, he sheepishly smiled at the crowd after he got woken up and went back to laying in the river, seemingly having an enjoyable time which led to the crowd of people laughing in relief. What an event! Everyone knows at least one person who can literally fall asleep anywhere, but this man is surely breaking records for napping in the river.
One thing for sure is that the young firefighter is now armed with an entertaining story to tell fellow firefighters, family and friends in the future.
