Have you always wanted to catch the blooming season of Sakuras in Japan but never got the chance to travel there? Well, you can now have a unique Japanese experience in Singapore – of viewing Sakuras that is. This is probably in conjunction with the SJ50 celebrations this year. Of course, nothing is really free in the world, so you won’t see these Cherry Blossoms on the streets of Singapore but rather at our only Gardens by the Bay Flower Dome.
The theme for this month’s special display is “Blossom Beats”. Gardens by the Bay will host varieties of Cherry and Peach blossoms. There will also be a tori gate, Japanese screens and kimono for a many unique Japanese experience. There are over 20 varieties of sakura displayed such as the:
Prunus Fuji Shidare
Prunus Accolade
And peach blossoms!

Doesn’t that just excite you already? Now here’s the catch. This magnificent display is only open till 27th March!
It is said that most of the cherry blossoms have started to bloom. The flowers are expected to be in full bloom over the next one or two weeks.
There’s definitely going to be lots of locals and tourists which means that you need to head down soon and maybe buy your tickets online so that you can get entry. It’s best to go on weekdays where the crowd is significantly smaller. Purchase your tickets here!
Going to this display is definitely worth your time because it’s a totally different experience where you’ll be transported into a different world. Visiting it might just convince you to take leave next year and go to Japan to see the blossoms!
