One important aspect of using our phones today are selfies, and we’ve always been looking for that perfect selfie. Hanging from tall buildings, in the middle of the road, when we’re clubbing at the club, anything goes.
What would you say if I told you there’s now an easier way to take a selfie? And it’s not just easier, it’s way cooler as well?
AirSelfie: The Portable Flying Camera
Think a flying drone, then downsize it till it can fit into the palm of your hands.
The AirSelfie cover doubles up as your phone cover so you won’t lose one without the other.
Here’s how it works
Just pull out the AirSelfie and use your mobile phone to control it.
There are three different modes for the AirSelfie
- Selfie mode, the easiest one, with just two directional buttons to make AirSelfie move far or close to you.
- Selfie Motion Control mode, control AirSelfie in real time with the virtual joystick provided by App.
- Flying mode, where the device is held horizontally and replaces a classic controller. Once you’ve found the perfect positioning for the shot, AirSelfie stays still, thanks to the hovering function.
Images taken from the AirSelfie will automatically be downloaded to your smartphone via WiFi and placing the flying camera back into the cover will charge its batteries.
Now you can get that perfect selfie without losing the landscape or your life. Selfie stick not long enough to get the entire group into the frame? Just let unleash the AirSelfie, sit back and relax.
Want a nice scenic image of not just you but the background as well?
Okay, to be fair, that can be done with a tripod and a timer as well but hey, the AirSelfie’s lighter.
And of course, when you want to do a jump shot, or to be more exact, a jump selfie shot.
About the Kickstarter campaign
Conceptualised back in 2014, the team behind the AirSelfie is finally ready to unleash the product upon the world after two whole years of testing, building and getting it ready to be sold.
They have managed to raise €327,182 (~SGD 582k), more than 7X their original goal of €45,000. They will begin delivery of the AirSelfie to Kickstarter backers in February 2017.
But it’s a tad bit pricey. Each AirSelfie will set you back by €260(SGD 462.50).
But to be honest, I can think of so many wrong uses for this product.Â
