Still looking for a place to dine this Chinese New Year? Well, we might have the perfect option for you to have a healthy and hearty meal – so you won’t have to worry too much about incurring extra calories this Chinese New Year!
Steambox Steam Hot Pot, Hong Kong’s latest food trend, is now here in Singapore! Instead of eating steamboat the usual way of boiling the ingredients in steamboat broth or grilling the meats, this healthier option allows us to enjoy guilt-free steamboat! Even though there’s no buffet option, the prices of food here are pretty affordable!
The staff will first fill the bottom of the pot with raw rice grains with the steamboat broth of your choice, before placing the steamer dish above it. The juices of the meat will then be collected in the porridge at the bottom – adding a sweet and robust flavour to the porridge!
So all you’ve to do is to place your steamboat ingredients in the steamer, wait for it to be cooked, and then have the porridge soup to end off your meal! Sounds pretty delectable, huh?
Here at Steam Box Hot Pot, the ingredients are aplenty. You can choose from a wide range of seafood such a crayfish, clams, prawns, crabs to dim sum classics like siew mai and prawn rice balls! Nothing tastes as good as steamed dim sum!
Here at Steambox Steam Pot Specialist, there are also plenty of condiments for you to choose from. Patrons can opt from Singaporean’s favourite sambal chilli sauce to hotpot must-haves like sweet and sour or black pepper sauce. With so many sauces and spices available, you won’t have to be afraid that your steamed food will turn out bland! Who said healthy food can’t taste good?
For those who are still looking for the perfect dessert treat, you can also pamper yourselves with the cutest Pooh bear baos that will instantly brighten up your day once you dig into them!
