Are you an absent minded person? Do you often forget to bring something out from your house or office, and have to go back to retrieve the items before going off? Or maybe you tend to forget little details in your daily life? Most of us, when faced with this, will attempt to play “memory castle” on YouTube in a bid to improve our memories.

Well, here’s what else you can do to improve your memory: eat. That’s right, most Singaporeans’ favourite word, right? Here are 6 fruits you can include in your daily diet to improve your memory like magic!

Banana
Packed with potassium, it aids in helping the brain transmit messages more efficiently and more effectively. Bananas can also help regulate moods and appetite while supporting vital cognitive functions like memory and concentration.

Tangerine
Tangerines are one of the sources of folate, which can help in the normal functioning of the brain and provide support in reducing stress and depression. With a relaxed mind comes clearer thoughts, right? Right.

Apple
Apples are good for lifting your brain power. It is said that they are filled with a descent amount of antioxidants that can help raise acetylcholine levels – a neurotransmitter essential to memory.

Tomato
It is suggested that an impressive antioxidant, lycopene, found in tomatoes can help protect against free radical damage to cells – which occurs during dementia development, particularly Alzheimer’s.

Avocado
Probably to your surprise, avocados are actually almost as good as blueberries when it comes to promoting brain health. It’s a fruit filled with monounsaturated fat, which can be beneficial for active blood flow.

Blueberry
Of course, the most prominent one of all – and one of my personal favourites. Blueberries are found to contain compounds known as flavonoids in abundance, which interact with nerve cells and increase communication between them, thereby stimulating brain cells’ regeneration.
