I am sure you guys would have heard about GrabCar offering free rides every Monday, and some of you would be wondering, is it too good to be true?
Why the promotion?
So why did GrabCar come up with this sudden announcement? This promotion is in conjunction with GrabCar’s fourth anniversary. They want to show their gratitude to everyone who used their service for their support throughout this four years.
What’s the deal?
Yes, it’s not just using the app and getting a free ride every Monday till like forever (though that’s an idea GrabCar should look into). You do get a free ride every Monday, up to $15 off. That means, if your ride costs you $15 and below, you don’t have to pay anything, it’s free as promised.
However, if your ride costs more than that, it will be a deduction of $15 from your overall cost. It’s still a pretty good deal if you ask me. This promotion is not on forever, unfortunately. It is only valid on the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th of June.
The process involved
First, download the Grab app from the App Store or Google Play and register your account, if you have not. Next, tap on the menu on the top-left hand corner of the screen and select “GrabPay”. Then, click on “Add Credit Card” to enter your card details.
After that, return to the booking screen to select your pick-up and drop-off points. You can choose any GrabCar vehicle type you want. Remember to also set credit card as your payment method. Enter the promo code GRAB4YEARS in the promo code field and then tap ‘Book’ to enjoy your free ride, or discount, whichever’s applicable.
Terms and conditions
Well, every promotion has these T&Cs but the ones for this promotion still make the deal pretty attractive. It is valid on all GrabCar vehicle types and Card payments only.
It is also only limited to one redemption per user each Monday. So, make that one ride count. You are entitled to a total of four redemptions from 6th June to 27th June.
Do also note that there are limited redemptions available so try to book earlier in the day.
All in all, this is an awesome deal so share this with your family and friends as well!
