A shocking scandal has erupted in Japan’s idol industry after 19-year-old Pretty Chuu member Shuna Amamiya accused Taichi Saito of sexual assault and impregnation.
Saito is the longtime boyfriend and business partner of the group’s producer, Yurinya.
Japanese media reports on 1 Aug revealed that Amamiya was stripped and secretly filmed while she was at Yurinya’s house.
Saito initially apologized through Line app messages. He then assaulted her while she was asleep.
Producer Yurinya Cuts Ties with Boyfriend After Assault Allegations
Yurinya, a Japanese social media star with over 1.3 million followers across TikTok and Instagram, confirmed the reports. She publicly expressed support for Amamiya and cut all personal and business ties with Saito.
“Recently, information has been circulated on social media that my partner in both public and private life, Saito Taichi, has impregnated Amamiya Shuna, a member of the idol group Pretty Chuu that I produce,” Yurinya wrote on social media on 1 Aug 2025.
Pretty Chuu is a six-member Japanese idol group that embodies the “strength,” “transience,” “innocence,” and “pure maiden heart” of girls. The group made their stage debut on 16 Jun 2025.
Yurinya condemned Saito’s actions as “extremely irresponsible and despicable, both as a person and as a member of society.” She declared she would have no further connection with him after five and a half years together.
“Pretty Chuu is something I have grown and cherished my whole life,” she stated. “We feel strong indignation and deep disappointment in Mr Saito for committing such an irrational act against such a valued colleague.”

Following the initial assault, Amamiya stepped away from group activities. The agency cited health concerns as the reason for her hiatus.
Saito allegedly threatened Amamiya to stay silent. He warned her that speaking out would risk having Pretty Chuu destroyed. He also attempted to buy her silence with a settlement offer of one million yen (~SGD$9,100).
Feeling trapped, Amamiya reached out to YouTuber Korekore for help. She eventually reported the incident to the police after consulting with him.
According to Korekore, who leaked the news, Saito had stripped and secretly filmed Amamiya while she was at Yurinya’s house. After the assault and pregnancy, Amamiya underwent an abortion.
A recorded conversation between Amamiya and Saito later leaked online. This sparked massive public outrage and widespread backlash from fans and the general public.
Yurinya urged people to give Amamiya space and time to recover. She emphasized that the young idol should not feel pressured to be active online while dealing with the aftermath.
The producer pledged to review group and management structures to prevent recurrence. She committed to providing a safe working environment for all Pretty Chuu members.
On Instagram, Amamiya posted a short video clip holding hands with someone appearing to be Yurinya. The caption read: “I’ll work hard with Yurinya-chan.”
