Just last Friday, Facebook user, Jaze Phua, uploaded an image of a S$17.50 Fish n Chips he had at LeVeL 33 Restaurant at Marina Bay Financial Centre which well, didn’t look as aesthetically pleasing or appetizing as expected.
Granted, we all know how atas restaurants like these always have a way with plating their food. But this was another story altogether because well, just have a look it yourself.
Expectations:
Reality:
So, instead of serving the usual rendition of Fish & Chips, LeVeL 33 decided to bring things up a notch by serving and plating Fish N Chips in the way all fine-dining cuisines are always presented – with as little food on the plate as possible.
This, of course, angered quite a number of netizens who felt that this did not justify the S$17.50 paid and commented that Jaze simply got ‘scammed’ by the restaurant.
OGordon Ramsay, too, had to weigh in on this.
Known for his slew of savage replies on Twitter, someone decided to ask for his input on this dish, and he decided to reply one the most savage manner possible.
I think he was also dying to tweet “Please walk across to MBS and visit Bread Street Kitchen instead and I’ll show you how it’s supposed to be done.”
Well said, Gordon, well said.
