A Singapore Grab driver has been suspended after being caught watching TikTok videos while driving a passenger, according to a video submitted to Stomp.
The incident took place on 31 Oct 2025 at around 6pm during a journey to Craig Road.
Driver Watched TikTok Throughout 21-Minute Journey
The video footage revealed the driver watching TikTok videos while driving. He used the app’s auto-scroll function to watch a series of videos hands-free.

The 21-minute ride cost $29.50.
The driver only stopped watching TikTok in the final two to four minutes of the trip to use the navigation map.
The passenger reported that they nearly got into five accidents during the single journey.
After the incident, the passenger filed a complaint with Grab. She was initially informed that the driver received a warning.
“I complained to Grab and all I was told was that he got a warning,” she said. “We need better regulations for drivers to keep our roads safe – we missed five accidents in that one ride.”
Grab Takes Action With Driver Suspension and Full Refund
Grab responded to the incident on 4 Nov 2025, confirming they had taken immediate action.
A Grab spokesperson stated that the company suspended the driver and issued a full refund to the passenger.
“The safety of our Grab community is one of our top priorities, and we sincerely apologise for the distress this passenger experienced,” the spokesperson said.
Grab operates under a zero-tolerance policy for actions that violate its Code of Conduct.
The spokesperson added that the incident does not reflect the behaviour of the vast majority of their driver-partners.
Grab will continue to enforce strict adherence to their Code of Conduct. The company stated that serious and repeated breaches can result in permanent removal from the platform.
