GrabFood Rider Caught on Camera Drinking Customer’s Milo & Saying “Huh” When Confronted

Have you heard? GrabFood now has a quality control feature; you can have your delivery rider taste test your food and drinks to ensure they’re of the highest quality.

Okay, we’re just kidding—GrabFood doesn’t officially have such a feature, but a delivery rider has taken it upon himself to introduce it unofficially.

A GrabFood rider was caught on camera drinking a customer’s milo. His reaction when confronted is the funniest thing you’ll see today.

Here’s what happened.

GrabFood Rider Caught on Camera Drinking Customer’s Iced Milo

On Thursday (7 September), a video surfaced on TikTok where TikTok user @haziquehibri recounted a particular GrabFood horror story.

@haziquehibri can’t believe this is what ends up being my first ever TikTok 💀 #fooddelivery #grabfood #service #unclestengmymilo #unclecheckforpoison #goodbyeMILOver ♬ original sound – haziquehibri

According to Hazique, the incident happened on 31 August—he had ordered a Double McSpicy meal from a McDonald’s in Tampines via GrabFood, but it turns out that Hazique’s delivery rider decided to go the extra mile.

He helped Hazique “taste test” his iced milo.

How did Hazique know? Well, the delivery rider was caught on camera doing so.

The footage, which shows the GrabFood delivery rider drinking Hazique’s iced milo for approximately five seconds, was taken from the intercom system at Hazique’s condominium lift lobby.

Very kind of the delivery rider to help Hazique make sure the iced milo wasn’t poisoned or anything. Five-star rating, for sure.

When Hazique initially saw the surveillance footage, he assumed the iced milo in the delivery rider’s hands was the rider’s own.

However, once the rider delivered the TikToker’s order to him, Hazique realised that his prior assumption was wrong.

For some reason, the mouthpiece on Hazique’s cup of iced milo was very wet.

Hm. Wonder why.

Delivery Rider Merely Says “Huh” When Confronted By Customer

Realising that the GrabFood delivery rider had likely taken a few sips from his iced milo, Hazique immediately confronted the rider.

If you’re having a bad day, you’ll definitely have a good laugh at the delivery rider’s response to Hazique—the rider allegedly replied, “Huh?” and refused to admit to what he did.

This is what we call “act blur, live longer”. It’s no wonder this delivery rider attained a five-star rating on GrabFood.

Aiya. Maybe he ride bicycle deliver food, very thirsty lah.

And Hazique sympathises with this as well. The TikToker added: “I feel for these food delivery riders okay, and I understand that the work is tiring. I understand that you can get thirsty.”

Nonetheless, Hazique shares that even in such circumstances, he’d rather the delivery rider have taken the whole cup of iced milo instead of giving him something they have “put [their] lips on”.

The TikToker eventually threw his McDonald’s meal away, sharing that the experience left him with a lack of appetite.

Full Refund Given to Customer; Delivery Rider Banned from GrabFood Platform

Subsequently, Hazique contacted Grab for a full refund on his McDonald’s meal.

I guess he wasn’t lovin’ it.

According to Hazique’s Instagram post, he has since received a full refund from Grab.

The driver has also since been banned from the GrabFood platform as his “taste test” violated Grab’s code of conduct.

Not the GrabFood Delivery Rider’s First Rodeo?

While a spokesperson from Grab emphasised that Hazique’s experience was a “one-off incident”, this might not necessarily be the case, according to netizens.

According to a comment on Hazique’s TikTok, it appears that the same delivery rider has been caught drinking and eating customers’ orders on more than one occasion before this.

No wonder my McDonald’s fries sometimes come delivered half-filled.
