Has anyone ever truly tested the durability and build quality of Louis Vuitton (LV) bags? Sure, they’re an expensive, luxury designer brand, and it should go without saying, but has anyone really tested it out?
A Taiwanese grandma did.
Not because she’s baller af, or because she’s filthy rich, but because she had no idea what LV meant.
A Taiwanese girl saw that her grandma had not changed bags in a very long time, so she wanted to buy something for her. She decided she had to treat her to something good, so she ended up with a classic LV bag, the Neverfull.
Great choice for an old lady, considering that the bag is extremely spacious and could fit everything an old lady would want to bring around.
The next time the Taiwanese girl visited her grandma, she got the shock of her life. The old lady was quite happy with the gift, all right, and had put it to good use.
The thing is, “everything an old lady would want to bring around” apparently included lots of groceries, because grandma was carrying some fresh food in the bag. Like fresh fish, without plastic bags, right in the 1,500 USD LV bag.
When the girl asked about the fish in shock, her grandma had replied earnestly that the fish was really fresh and they would have that for dinner.
Also, the bag was great, and quite waterproof, just that it was a little heavy.
Waterproof!
Definitely not the kind of comment one expects for designer goods.
But the girl saw that her grandma was quite happy with the gift, and decided not to say anything about it. After all, as long as she was happy, everything was fine.
She hugged her grandma, and asked to be brought along the next time she goes grocery shopping.
I’m willing to bet there’s definitely somebody who would have seen grandma using a luxury product in this manner, and thought about how rich she must be to be so “careless”.
If the bag gets stolen (touch wood), imagine what the thief would say when he sees the fish!
