Remember our primary and secondary school days, when school ended before 3pm every day?

I really should have cherished those days more back when I had the chance because nowadays, I can’t ever reach home before the sun sets.

Anyway, since there was usually not a lot of homework and tons of time to spare, a great way to spend the rest of the day would be to hang out with your friends and have some fun.

Unless you were the kind of kid who preferred to go home and watch Cartoon Network by yourself.

Or, you had no friends.

But if you did, I’m sure you can agree that there are tons of fun things you can do with your friends after school. Grabbing a bite, playing a game of soccer, going over to someone’s house, or…jumping from the ledges of HDB buildings.

The last activity mentioned would not be recommended.

Boys Caught Playing Parkour On Video

A group of boys thought that it would be a great idea to jump from an HDB ledge to the rooftop of another building.

They were dressed in their school uniforms, and the entire thing was caught on a video and uploaded to Stomp on Wednesday, 2 October.

In the video, they can be seen taking turns to leap from the ledge on the second floor of an HDB block to the rooftop of a building beside it.

The location of the building was Block 157 Serangoon North Avenue 1.

The stomper who witnessed it was in her office, opposite the block that the boys were jumping from.

“It was so scary to see them playing parkour,” she said. “Nowadays these youngsters like to follow things they see on YouTube and Facebook.”

“It may have only been on the second floor but if one of them fell, they could still get injured. Dangerous acts and any misstep will lead to serious consequences.”

Well, they should have just followed stuff from our videos, which is meaningful (we tend to think so). Here, take a look and remember to follow us on Instagram:

Climbed And Jumped Over To The Rooftop

At the start of the video, two of the boys are already on the rooftop and judging by their hand actions, they appear to be smoking.

One of them flicks something from his hand after a while, which looks like he’s disposing of the cigarette.

After that, their friend who is dressed in all black (PE attire? Or maybe he changed out after school) stretches and plops himself over to the rooftop.

The rest of the boys all jump over, and they can be seen jumping back and forth between the two buildings.

One boy does not seem to be as brave as the others and he stays on the HDB ledge instead.

Or maybe he was just smarter than the rest.

Mixed Reactions To The Video

The video received mixed reactions from Singaporeans. Some said that the boys were being reckless and they should have thought about how dangerous their stunts were.

On the other hand, others felt that doing stuff like that as a kid was thrilling and fun, and it reminded them of their younger days.

Some also mentioned that if you choose to do something dangerous, you have to be prepared to face the consequences that might come along with it.

Honestly, I think that although it is a little risky, the boys were just finding their own ways to have fun.

Hey, at least they’re not like all the other kids nowadays who are glued to their phones 24/7.

After all, if you don’t do at least a few crazy things as a child, you’ll have nothing to look back on as an adult.
