The Note 7 was Samsung’s hidden ace against Apple, their rival in the smartphone industry and the iPhone 7. They’ve even managed to launch the phone earlier than their competitor, giving them a huge lead.
Unfortunately, it all backfired (literally) when their devices malfunctioned.
The batteries overheated and the phone exploded
In order to salvage their reputation, Samsung reacted to the crisis. They quickly issued a worldwide recall of the Note 7 and halted all shipments and sales of these devices.

Everything was well again and Samsung was praised for their quick actions until the replaced device overheated again.
