Imagine one day, you were told you just won the top prize. Then before you can truly bask in the true meaning of victory, you’re told that it’s no longer available and you just got to suck it up.
What will you do?
That was what happened to this man who took to hardwarezone to let other people know about his frustrations.
MameGO Luck Prize
Seems pretty easy to win. Just placed a price that nobody else has bidded for and if you are the lowest bidder, that’s the price you need to pay for a spanking, new iPhone 7.
And that’s what happened to this guy who thought he had it in the bag.
Unless there’s no stock
The seller, 131Express, sent a message to the winner asking for his understanding that he will not be able to get an iPhone 7 for the promised price.
And the reason? They were out of iPhone 7s in Singapore is high and were unable to procure anymore for the prize. To top it off, they cancelled his order so he can’t redeem the iPhone 7 at a later time.
When he commended them on such an elaborate scam, they told him to bring it up to Qoo10 directly and pointed out that their rating on the platform has always been good.
A clever marketing ploy
I like what he said about circumstances: it’s like winning 2.3million at Toto and then they telling you your ticket is expired.
With that, he had a foolproof guide to market your shop out for cheap:
So if something is too good to be true? It’s too good to be true.
