A haircut can either make or break your day or even month, so it’s imperative that you get a decent-looking style during your trip to the barber’s.
But what if, say, you get a hairstyle that is nothing like you envisioned?
Well, I guess for many of us, we can only “suck thumb” and carry on. But for one rather “lucky” individual…
They will be able to get a second chance.
M’sia Salon Gave the ‘Worst Haircut’ to Woman & Then Restyled It to Perfection
It all began with a viral Facebook post.
According to the incensed entry, the user had gone to Hairstory International (Air Itam) – a reputable hair salon in Penang that, for some reason, gave her a haircut that was anything but reputable.
“This is my first time getting so worked up after a hair-cut,” she shared in the post.
Rather than a professional salon cut, it looked more like a $2 haircut that you could get at any neighbourhood outlet.
Lest you’re curious, this was how she looked like after the esteemed haircut.
Well, there goes her day. And month.
Apparently, her regular hairstylist had been fully booked, leaving her to look for another stylist.
“I specifically asked for another stylist and not an apprentice. In the end the style I asked for became this,” she wrote.
“Only later I found out the person who cut my hair did not understand the style I wanted,”
she stated, adding that her hair resembled a haircut given by a parent.

Response
The salon has since responded.
In a Facebook post, they conveyed their deepest regrets over the incident, and stated that they could not imagine “the damage the stylist had caused to her”.
Professing that they will take “full responsibility” for the mishap, they invited the customer for a re-styling session by the salon’s own Art Director.
The salon has also indicated that they will be increasing their training frequency for all their trainees and stylists, so that such incidents could be avoided in the future.
“Once again, we sincerely regret the encounter and hope to have the continuous support from our customers for better improvement.”

Glow Up
Suffice to say; the re-styling session was a great success.
So if you recall, the affiliated customer formerly looked like this.
And now, she looks like this:
Though some may bemoan the loss of her long hair locks, I would say that overall, the salon has done a great job at rectifying the customer’s image.
According to a follow-up post, the customer has also thanked the salon for their efforts, and accepted their sincere apology.
“They also apologized to me very sincerely and revamped the haircut,” she wrote. “I really didn’t think it could be saved, and it was beautiful.”

Not An Ad
It should be noted that after facing several sceptical responses, the customer has stepped out to dismiss notions that it was a paid advertisement for the salon.
Well, regardless of whether it was an ad or not, one can’t deny one thing;
A proper hair cut truly makes a person.
