Check out this Bara Chirashi Don for only S$12.80 nett

Not sure if you love Chirashi Dons as much as I do, but if you are an avid fan of this Japanese sashimi rice bowl, Sushiro will be THE place to visit to curb your cravings. Our only gripe? The insane 45 minutes wait (Ok, I admit, I’m not used to queuing for food) for a seat in the 14-seater eatery – though I was so glad that I did.
The humble restaurant sits on the first level of Thomson Plaza, serving premium Japanese rice bowls, sashimi and sushi that will certainly be a bang for your buck. Their coveted Bara Chirashi Don – essentially chopped seafood and vegetables atop Japanese rice only costs S$12.80 NETT, which is definitely a steal in Singapore. Here, you get to enjoy delectable Japanese cuisine without having to pay for any GST or service charge!

Bara Chirashi Don – S$12.80 Nett
Check out the chunky pieces of sashimi – salmon, tuna, octopus, prawn and salmon roe – generously placed atop the palm-sized Japanese rice bowl. The Japanese rice had a pleasant umami – the result of the sesame oil and vinegar that got me mopping every last bit of rice off the bowl.
For lunch, they also offer set meals at an additional top-up of S$5 for a bowl of soup, salad and sashimi or S$3 for a bowl of soup and salad.
Salmon Mentaiyaki – S$5.80 Nett
Salmon sushi beautifully torched with Mentaiko sauce which left us sated. WJ and I are huge suckers for Mentaiko – so we knew we had to order this sushi and we were certainly not disappointed.
