Halloween is fast approaching as the end of October draws near.
While Singapore may not have a thriving trick-or-treat scene, horror-themed activities are popping up left, right and centre.
From the classic Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Singapore to touring the abandoned Changi Hospital, people are finding ways to give themselves a delightful fright.
Now, you have an additional choice of a horror-ful activity at Haw Par Villa.
How does visiting the Hell Museum and experiencing the 10 levels of hell in the dead of the night sound?
Get ready to pull (or bully) your friends into this one. More details below.
Haw Par Villa’s Hell Museum Opens After Dark
If you like to scare yourself, this one might be for you.
Try venturing into the Hell’s Museum at Haw Par Villa from 27 October to 29 October this year.
For a short three days, you can visit the legendary museum between 7 p.m. and midnight.
As if the museum is not already dark enough (yes, we know we’re punny).
For those who have not heard, the Hell Museum includes statute figurines depicting different scenes of hell based on Chinese culture.
For example, there are statutes of people suffering for their scenes in the most gruesome ways.
Even without the fear factor of the night, the museum is already spooky enough.
If you want to meet the “statues and minions exiled to the 10 Courts of Hell”, then be sure to grab four friends and sign up for this spooky experience.
Hell Museum Turns Two
Apart from coinciding with the Halloween weekend, this experience activity of touring the Hell Museum (and likely being chased by spirits you don’t want to encounter, ever) coincides with another milestone.
It’s the Hell Museum’s second birthday bash.
How exciting.
Of course, birthday celebrations cannot just stop at one event. Read more to learn about the other activities at Haw Par Villa that weekend.

Apart from the Hell Museum After Dark experience, you may be interested in the Shaman’s Market.
Admission to this market is free, and you can expect shopping and food, all in line with the Halloween theme.
The market will take place between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. on 28 and 29 October 2023.
Those who want something less edgy may enjoy art jamming with Art Journey, doing mosaic art or enjoying some Halloween-themed drinks at the café.
Tarot reading activities will also be available for those who want to hear what others from other worlds have to say about your future!
Check out the art jamming and tarot reading from 27 October to 29 October this year.
