Before you even do anything, here’s a disclaimer: the dogs are indeed cute, and they can be your best friend forever, but before you make any decision, do remember this: they might just be your pet, but you are their everything.
Okay, done with the sadness overload, and now ready for some cuteness overload? Here you go.
Adoption Drive by Voices for Animal
It’s not easy to find an adoption drive that has many HDB-approved breeds.

Most adoption drives in Singapore comprise mongrels: a mixed breed that roam Singapore. These are usually stray dogs that are rescued by volunteer groups and then trained to be domestic dogs, so they can blend in with people.
After all, you seldom come across, say, a Shih Tze roaming in a jungle, do you?
Mongrels, due to their size, are usually not HDB-approved: therefore, while there are countless adoption drives by dogs-lover, finding a home for them is rather difficult.
Also, a sincere dog-lover who lives in an HDB might also find it difficult to adopt a dog.
So this is the best of both worlds.
On 6 and 7 October 2018, Voices for Animal, a group that feeds stray dogs and helps them find new homes, is having an adoption drive after they moved from Pasir Ris Farmway to Turf Club Road.
Happening from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., it’ll be located at Sunny Heights (110 Turf Club Road Singapore 288000).

Best of all? Majority of the dogs are HDB-approved.
All the dogs are at least five years old as well.
According to their Facebook Page, the dogs are retired breeding dogs. There is a $250 adoption fee which is used to help other dogs. Interested parties can get more information from the adoption drive.
Just so you know, if you intend to adopt, the entire household must be present (including your helper or even tenants if you have any). This is to allow the group to assess whether you’re a good fit for the dogs – after all, remember, the dog would be with you for the rest of its life.

As usual, if you can’t adopt, do consider donating some cash so that the dogs can be fed.
After all…sometimes, giving money to feed dogs is much better than giving money to feed humans #justsaying
