In this Singaporean version of Hotel Hell, Tiktok user @paulineweewee has posted a flat full of nightmare fuel, apparently left behind by her tenants after three years of renting the flat.
@paulineweeweeRented out the whole unit for 3 years and this is what we got back – power bo ?♬ Creepy, scary, horror, synth, tension – Sound Production Gin
The flat is very spartan, but that’s the least of the worries. The floor of the flat is completely stained with black dirt, mould and the like, with streaks all over the floor but especially in the bathroom and shower room.
The cabinets are also full of brown stains and dirt, the fridge completely yellowed and filled with insects and all similar sorts of grotesque splatters.
The user also chose an eerie, haunting TikTok audio to complement the horrifying state of the flat, which was frankly extremely appropriate for the strange sight.
Netizen’s Responses
Netizens pointed out that they had probably failed to do quarterly inspections, or failed to withhold the rent deposit before checking the state of the house, while some argued that even the deposit would not be able to cover the cleaning fees.

Some netizens also emphasised with the poster, saying that they had similar experiences renting out their houses for long periods of time.
Insidiously, some of them speculated that it seemed like “no one lived here for 3 years instead”.
Either way, it’s always good to do more check-ups when you’re renting your house out, to make sure that this sort of nightmare doesn’t happen to you.
