So I’m going to go out and say this.
I’m the guy who orders Coke when all his friends are drinking.
(I can feel someone silently judging me, not sure why)
Look, alcohol just isn’t my thing, alright?
But I do know a couple of guys who’d take a Grab down to a party the moment they hear a friend getting married just for a taste of the hard stuff.
Actually, speaking of grab and beer, boy do I have something for you guys…
Dynamic Duo
Hold out till the end of the month guys, we’re about to get a nice, cold one.Â
On 17 September, a partnership between Grab and Heineken was announced.
Lucky for us, along with Vietnam, we get the first taste of this new collaboration before the rest of South-East Asia.
If you’re in the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia, fear not. Your time will come after that.
Once implemented, (legal) customers can order Heineken straight to your house using Grab and can even use GrabPay as a payment method!
A Heineken online specialty store will also be launched on the Grab app.
This allows the drink maker to use Grab’s anonymised data to identify popular locations with the most sales and determine the best sellers.
So maybe being a party animal has its benefits for this after all.
Heineken also made Grab its preferred mode of transport for South-East Asia. We got the priority list, ladies and gentlemen.Â
Heineken’s Asia-Pacific president Dolf van den Brink said in the statement that this would open up many possibilities for the brand.
We’re almost done with the month anyway, so don’t be too eager to grab your phones and call for booze. In about two weeks, it’s about to get good.
Beery good.
