Tomorrow, Singaporeans will finally get their hands on the $100 SingapoRediscovers vouchers.
Launched as a way to boost the local tourism industry, Singaporeans will have over 200 attractions and experiences to choose from.
But unlike that thick book of vouchers you received for SG50, the SingapoRediscovers vouchers will be digital.
To redeem the vouchers, you’ll need to recall the password you use for your SingPass account, which is easier said than done.
However, if you’re not too tech-savvy, you can now get a quick lesson on how to make your redemption.
How to Redeem the $100 SingapoRediscovers Vouchers for People Who Don’t Go Online
For those unable to make online redemptions, help will be available at 69 locations, including 53 Community Centres (CC).
Here, seniors and those who aren’t too good with computers can get a quick lesson on how to get their tourism vouchers.
While Singaporeans are encouraged to make their redemption online, they can visit these centres if they really need assistance.
The authorised booking partners affiliated with this scheme will be present at the 69 locations, most of which are located within CCs or within a 5-minute walk from CCs.
SingPass registration or SingPass password reset services will also be available at these 53 CCs, in case you forgot your SingPass password.
Here’s a list of the 69 locations:
Since the vouchers are digital, it’ll be used to offset ticket purchases and hotel stays.
And you can’t book a staycation, tour, or ticket for an attraction directly with a merchant. Rather, you’ll have to go through the five authorised booking platforms:
- Klook
- Changi Travel Service
- Global Tix
- Trip.com
- Traveloka
How to Redeem Vouchers Online
If you’d rather stay glued to your couch and redeem your vouchers without moving, here’s how to redeem your SingapoRediscovers vouchers online.
Before making your redemption, you should ensure you have a SingPass account, or that you remember your password.
Those who have not registered a SingPass account yet can do so here, while those who need to reset their passwords can go here.
Then, you can start the redemption process:
- Visit the five authorised booking platforms listed above
- Select your desired experiences and dates. When paying, click “Use SingapoRediscovers Vouchers you want to use”.
- Log in via SingPass and generate a promo code for your purchase
- Complete your purchase and receive an e-confirmation
Remember to complete your transaction within 10 minutes, or you might lose the booking.
Can’t Combine Vouchers With Other Users
In a bid to prevent fraud, citizens will not be permitted to combine their vouchers with other users to pay for an attraction.
Plus, if this were allowed, vouchers would turn up on Carousell on 2 Dec for 50 times the price.
You may, however, be able to redeem products for others to use, but it depends on the terms and conditions of the respective merchants.
You should also note that the SingapoRediscovers vouchers are not refundable. You may contact the authorised booking partners to request for a change of date or product.
With just one day to go to redemption, have you decided what you’ll be using your vouchers for?
