We have all heard enough about how we shouldn’t bath too many times a day in order not to strip our hair and body of its natural oils. Due to the hot weather in Singapore, we are sometimes forced to shower frequently because it’s too uncomfortable.

How many times do you shower per day yourself? Once? Twice? Maybe more? If you decide to shower once per day, here’s how you determine whether you should do so in the morning or at night.

Morning

If you have oily skin
If you have oily skin, shower in the morning. You shouldn’t accumulate the dirt and oil until nighttime to wash them away. Washing in the morning will help you get rid of the oil from clogged pores effectively.

If your work requires creativity or inspirations
You need to shower in the morning. You have to stay refreshed and ready for the start of a new day to prepare for new ideas so don’t be lazy, bath first thing in the morning.

If you gym or work out in the morning
Then you obviously have to bath in the morning before you leave your house. Otherwise, that’s just gross.

If you are not a morning person
If waking up is already a chore not to mention the war you have to fight on the MRT platform every morning in order to reach your workplace, you HAVE to shower in the morning. Showering prepare you for the new day.

If you need to shave before going out
You’ll need to shower in the morning since you have to shave before heading out. It’s important to feel great to start your day right.

Night

If you have difficulty sleeping
Shower after work at night if you have difficulty sleeping. Bathing in hot water after a day’s hard work will help you to relax and soothe your nerves, giving signals to your brain that you’re ready for bed afterwards. Do note that you should not shower too late in the night or you’ll be kept awake instead.

If you don’t want to dirty your sheets
If you’re very particular about having the need to sleep on clean bed sheets and blankets, you’ll have to shower at night before you head to bed. The dust, dirt and oil accumulated on your bed sheets gross you out, so don’t.

If you have dry skin
Shower at night if you have dry skin. You don’t want to come out of the shower in the morning with your skin even more dry and peeling. Take a hot bath at night and slab on some lotion after the hot bath. That will do the trick and improve your skin condition!
