Christmas Eve is coming.
And just like any other eve of public holidays, you might have made plans that’ll last late into the night.
After all, there’s no work or school the next day, right?
The Singapore public transport service is made up of humans, and they totally get you.
Which is why on this Christmas Eve, there’s going to be some adjustment to the last train and bus services for Singaporeans.
Bus and Train Services To Be Extended on Christmas Eve
Train services across all MRT and LRT lines will be extended on this day and will leave the stations between 12.43 am and 2.07 am on 25 Dec.
North East Line (NEL) and Downtown Line (DTL)
Both the North East Line and the Downtown Line under SBS Transit will be extending their last train services with the latest at 1.50 am.
Here is the list of timing you die-die have to catch, if you’re not planning on taking Grab:
North-South Line, East-West Line & Circle Line
SMRT services are extended as well, with the last train leaving the station at 2.07 am.
Selected Bus Services Extended For Commuters’ Ease of Access
Now, not every one of us gets to stay near an MRT station.
Which is why selected bus services will have their services extended as well so that commuters on last trains can get home.

Peak Hour Buses To Operate in the Afternoon
On Christmas Eve, companies typically give their employees half-day off.
So for people who take peak hour buses to work, you won’t usually get to sit on such buses in the afternoon.
But not for 24 Dec, though.
For Christmas Eve, they’re bringing forward the operating hours of the following peak hour buses:
So enjoy, have fun but keep track of the time, yeah?
And please, for people who’re driving: don’t drink and drive. You won’t want this to be your last Christmas.
