Phase 2 isn’t an excuse for you to go out and have fun.
Let me repeat.
Phase 2 isn’t an excuse-
Oh, those were the good old days.

Holland Village Allegedly Become The Next Robertson Quay, But This Time in Phase Two
Remember Robertson Quay?
Yes, the place which looked like pre-Covid-19 when photos were taken during the Circuit Breaker period.

Holland Village
Let us see…
Groups of people crowded together. Check.
Going to drink beer. Check.
No masks. Check.
It’s official. This is Robertson Quay version 2.0.
According to our good friends at Singapore Atrium Sale, this picture was taken yesterday at Holland Village.
And it seems like people in Singapore may have gotten a bit too overzealous with a single whiff of freedom.
Increased Patrol & Enforcement At Night Spots
Minister of Environment and Water Resources, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, took to his Facebook page to respond to the incident.
He said that the authorities will step up patrols and enforcement actions at nightspots like Holland Village.
Enforcement actions will be taken, not just against individuals, but establishments as well for any breaching of Covid-19 rules.
“We can fool the law but we cannot fool the virus.”
By the way, just to show how serious the authorities take such matters, operators along Robertson Quay were not allowed to sell alcohol after the Robertson Quay incident.
Safe Distancing & Other Rules Still Apply
Previously, when the authorities stated that people are allowed to dine out again, it was emphasised that safe distancing must still be observed.
As with the need to wear masks, keep social gathering to 5 people maximum and have safe distancing between groups.
Maybe, just maybe, it’s time to admit that people in Singapore might be living in a developing country but in terms of mindset, we’re still far from it.
Which is why we need the authorities to come in and hold our hands:
Here’s a gentle reminder on what happens when people stopped being socially responsible:
And the next thing you know…
Moral of the story: please don’t be the next patient 31.
