Hope for Animals Has 3 Dogs & 3 Cats for Adoption, & They Come with Profile Cards, Too

Unless you have a cold black stone where your heart should be, you probably like cats and dogs.

Pets have the magical ability to lift our spirits with a little nuzzle whenever we’re feeling down.

If you’re looking to bring a canine or feline into your home so they can poop where they shouldn’t and brutally massacre your shoes, I have some good news for you.

Hope for Animals Has 3 Dogs & 3 Cats for Adoption, & They Come with Profile Cards, Too

Hope For Animals, a volunteer group that facilitates pet adoptions, has put up three dogs and three cats for adoption on its Facebook page.

In addition to adorable photos of the little guys, the volunteer group added profiles which includes its breed, age, gender, and character.

Xena

The first on the list is Xena, a 3-year-old mixed-breed dog who has eyes so innocent you’ll fee bad for scolding her.

According to the profile, Xena was found by a member of the public in June 2019 after she was abandoned by her owner. She was tied to a pole with a harness and collar.

She’s easily excitable and tends to nibble on human ankles and hands. She’s “human and dog friendly” but only suitable for a family without children.

Xena is not HDB approved.

Fergus

The next doggo on the list is Fergus, a 14-year-old Shih Tzu who’s a senior citizen in the canine world.

Fergus is an affectionate little guy who loves human companionship and, like many of us, is motivated by food.

He is friendly to humans and dogs and is suitable for all families. He loves to go on walks but his vision is deteriorating.

Fergus is HDB approved.

Ah Boy

The last pup on the list is Ah Boy, another mixed-breed dog who’s only 4 years old.

Ah Boy loves to go for walks and is reactive to other dogs. He needs to go for leash training and has a history of biting.

He’s food-motivated and is suitable for families without children.

Ah Boy is not HDB approved.

If you’re more of a cat person because you like your pets to be a little more independent, there are three kitties you could adopt.

Marley

The first is Marley, a four-year-old cat who has cute, droopy eyes.

While some cats only approach their human owners servants when they want food, Marley loves human affection and company, and constantly meows for attention.

James

James has a very human name, but he is very much a feline.

The 9-year-old was found in a monsoon drain in March 2018, and was in such a bad state that he had to be hospitalised for around 2 months.

Fortunately, James recovered and has been with the SPCA for the past two years. He is very affectionate and “hungry for human affection”.

James needs a patient owner who will allow him some time to adapt to his new environment.

According to his profile, James is well respected among the cat community in SPCA. And, as you know, getting a cat’s respect is basically impossible.

Lucky

6-year-old Lucky was brought in by a kind rescuer after she was hit by a vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

After recovering, Lucky was diagnosed with breast cancer, requiring her to go through another surgery to remove the lump.

She was adopted once, but was later returned due to her tendency to stray.

Lucky is checked by the SPCA vet on a regular basis.

Cats Not HDB Approved

You probably noticed that the cat profiles don’t mention whether they’re HDB approved or not, because all cats are technically not HDB approved.

According to HDB, cats are not allowed in flats because they are “generally difficult to contain within the flat.”

They also make caterwauling sounds, which can “inconvenience your neighbours”, HDB said.

However, those who live in HDB flats will know that there are at least 38 cats on every floor.

We just pretend it doesn’t happen, because who wants to see those little guys go?

Pet Adoption is a Huge Responsibility

In any case, taking care of a pet is a huge responsibility that requires a great deal of time, effort, and money.

The reason why so many pets are abandoned is because their owners underestimated the work involved in caring for them.

If you are, however, certain that you’ll be a responsible pet owner, and one of the lovable creatures above has stolen your heart, you can submit an application to adopt them here.

Would you be jailed for being half-naked in public? Well, the answer will shock you. Seriously. Watch this to the end and you'll understand:
