ICA Warns Of Heavy Traffic Every Single Day This Festive Season; 40 ‘Heavy Traffic’ Updates In Nov 2019

Planning a getaway trip to Johor Bahru this festive season? Well, you might wanna stave off those travel plans.

And hear Goody Feed Pte Ltd’s inaugural PSA of the month first.

“Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen.” – Low Kay Hwa, 2019

“I regret to inform you that the causeway traffic to Johor Bahru will be rather… flustered this festive season.” – Goody Feed Boss, 2019

“With a whopping 40 ‘heavy traffic’ updates in November, ICA has shown no signs of ceasing its ruthless statistics.” – Goody Feed Boss, 2019

“And with 30 posts on ‘traffic backflows’ in this month already, I’m afraid…” – Goody Feed Boss, 2019

Your hasty getaway trip to Johor Bahru and back might be anything but… hasty.” – Goody Feed Boss, 2019

ICA Warns Of Heavy Traffic Every Single Day This Festive Season; 40 ‘Heavy Traffic’ Updates In Nov 2019

This festive season, get ready for…

Christmas lights…

Questionable old men masquerading as shady Santa Claus’…

And a packed causeway as everyone scrambles to get back to (and fro) JB in time.

This is in accordance with the Immigrations & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)’s frequent daily traffic updates, which reached a whopping 40 in November 2019 alone…

And a startling 30 on traffic backflows in the first half of December alone.

To emphasise my point, here’re two posts that were published within 5 hours of each other.

Tells you a lot about the whole situation here, really.

Haunted By Seasons Past

By 17 December last year, ICA has racked up a formidable 59 PSA posts.

And from the looks of it, 2019’s all set to emulate the ‘success’ of its predecessor…

Surpass it even.

So yeah, this isn’t exactly the best time to hop on that JB bandwagon, but hey;

We can’t help ourselves, can we?

As such, it would be best to adopt the following preventative measure, in order to ensure the best experience possible.

  • Avoid the peak hours

7am to 10am and 5pm to 10pm are strict no-nos. Unless, of course, you’re held by the laws of ‘bo bian I need to go work/home what to do

But still, we’ll advise you to rethink your JB road trip or hold off till next year at the very least. After all…

We would not wish for a reader to wait in line along the Causeway for a whole 4-5 hours.

P.s. you can follow ICA’s Facebook page for important updates on the Causeway situation. It might be no pretty boy… but it sure as hell is practical.
