Chocolate ice cream? Boring.

Vanilla ice cream? Even more boring. (Sorry to the vanilla lovers out there.)

If you’re bored of your average ice-cream flavours, The Humble Scoop offers unique flavours for you to try.

Local Flavours

Located in Katong Shopping Centre, they offer flavours which hit close to home.

One of the flavours that caught my eye immediately was this, just because it’s Milo flavoured.

Let’s face it: Milo ice cream is a flavour rarely made by ice cream parlours, so I’m delighted to know that this particular shop sells it.

Remember those days when someone did something wrong, and people would tease them with orh haw? Those were the good days. This sorbet flavour was inspired by haw flakes, which is a sweet made from the fruit of the hawthorn. If you’re looking for the major throwback flavour, this is it.

This is an earl grey milk-tea flavour. Need your fix of earl grey milk-tea? Why not try it in a frozen form instead of drinking it as bubble tea.

And Many More

They have other flavours as well such as “Orh-Bee-Good”, black glutinous rice and coconut milk dessert in ice cream form.

In-Kueh-Dible” is made with salted coconut and gula melaka.

“Cereal Killer” is made with caramelised cereal infused into milk, a flavour that will remind you of watching cartoons on Saturday mornings as a kid.

“Black sesame” is also a flavour which they have. Black sesame can often be found in Chinese desserts such as tangyuan and black sesame soup.

“Guava with Sour Plum” is a flavour which reminds many of dipping guava slices into sour plum powder. It tastes exactly as you remember, and gives you a mix of sweet, sour and salty all in one bite.

“Sugarcane with Lemon” is as the name suggests, sugarcane with lemon. You can find this drink at any hawker centre, and nothing is best with hawker food than sugarcane juice.

Imagine quenching your thirst with fresh sugarcane juice but in ice cream form. Sounds good already.
