We all know how dangerous it is to leave a child at home alone: this is the reason why it’s always advisable to ensure that an adult is at home with the child.
To give you an idea of how risky it is, the Royal Society for the Prevent of Accidents states that around 2 million children in the UK injured or died in or around the home every year. That even excludes those that are treated at home.

That’s some scary statistics.
So, would leaving an adult prevent those accidents?
To some extent, yes, but without proper precautions and supervision, accidents can still happen, especially so if the adult happens to fall asleep—even if it’s just for thirty seconds.
When a child climbs over a furniture, despite how small it is, there’s a chance of it falling on him or her, and crashing the child.
