Always wanted to visit IKEA for their meatballs but afraid of this?
Well, if you happen to be staying nearby, you won’t have to brave the potential queues into IKEA anymore.
Instead, all you have to do is to get onto your phone and those brown, delightful balls soaked in beautiful juices will arrive at your doorstep.
IKEA Singapore says that they’ve partnered up with Foodpanda to deliver Swedish Food Market products right to your home. but there’s a catch:
It’s only for selected areas near IKEA Tampines and IKEA Alexandra.
So if you happen to be staying at Jurong East, you’ll probably have to wait until the new outlet opens in JEM.
Although by that time, we do hope that the Covid-19 pandemic is over and we’re free to engage in our national past time again: queuing.
Not Just Meatballs
If you were to look at IKEA Singapore’s Facebook post, you’ll be forgiven for thinking that they only deliver meatballs.
But the meatballs here were just used as ‘clickbait’, and Foodpanda is actually delivering whole range of items from their Swedish Food Market selection.
Here’s their Facebook caption:
We are now delivering Swedish Food Market products to your doorstep with Foodpanda!
When we went into their website, the Swedish Food Market selection seems more like a supermarket than anything else.
It includes easy to cook products like meatballs, vegetable balls and potatoes au gratin:
Fish products
Dairy products
And so much more.
You can shop for yourself here.
