Ladies in the sales line do get more crap than guys, especially from those who think they can ask for anything because they’ve got what you want.
(Although to be fair, it’s not just ladies, good-looking guys do get propositioned to too.)
That’s what this female insurance agent allegedly got caught up with when she was trying to pitch an insurance plan to a customer.
What Happened
A female insurance agent took to her IG Stories to talk about an unfortunate experience with a prospective male client.
Something she felt “many females might have encountered” before, “especially if they are working in sales”.
According to her, she had gone to her prospective client’s house to discuss an insurance plan.
The prospect allegedly stayed alone in a 1-room flat.
However, as she was wrapping up her presentation, the client allegedly propositioned her, asking if she “wants to have some fun”.
While she tried to deflect the question, the client started getting creepier.
Offered More Money
She started looking for ways to escape and tried to keep calm after realising that the doors were closed and maybe even locked.
That was when the man decided to get down to business.
“How about I pay you $150?”
When she refused and told him to respect her as a professional, he decided that maybe, she wasn’t happy with the amount offered.
So he went on to offer more.
After more refusals, he eventually insinuated that she was open to selling herself and promise to buy all of her plans or pay anything that she wants.
That was when the insurance agent managed to escape from the house to safety.
Please Respect Female Insurance Agents
While she managed to get herself out of the house safe and sound, the female insurance agent have some choice words for people like the man who tried to prey on her.
“It’s not okay” to look at female insurance agents “like a piece of meat”, nor is it okay to assume that they will do anything for money.
Female insurance agents, she said, are there to help with clients’ finances.
It’s not okay at all to assume agents like her offer sexual services in exchange for money or sales.
“It is not okay at all.”
We’re just thankful that the lady managed to escape the situation and hope her post will give strength to other insurance agents who are facing the same situation as her.
