5 S’poreans Placed on Interpol’s “Red Notice”, Along With 3 Foreigners

Usually, having your photo on a website is a pretty cool thing. Maybe you’ve achieved some big accomplishment, or you’ve contributed to an organisation vitally. Time to show off to your relatives!

But when that website is Interpol (The International Criminal Police Organization), let’s just say that it does not warrant any celebration, but an arrest rather.

That’s the case for five Singaporeans and three foreigners, who have been placed on Interpol’s “Red Notice”. It is a request for law enforcement globally to find and provisionally arrest wanted suspects for prosecution or jail time.

Here are the not-fantastic-five:

1. Siak Lai Chun

Siak Lai Chun has been on Interpol’s list for 23 years, the longest out of all the Singaporeans. She is 59 this year.

Siak was formerly a bank executive and allegedly stole $18.7 million from the bank she worked for, using fake cashiers’ orders.

She fled Singapore in 1997 after her illegal acts were uncovered.

She really said, “get that coin”.

2. Nee Soon Joo

Neo is charged with armed robbery and abduction.

In 2008, he planned to kidnap a 60-year-old woman, her two-year-old granddaughter and their 23-year-old domestic helper at their home in Braddell Heights.

As the victim’s red BMW pulled up, Neo and his accomplice held them at knife-point.
They were driven to a bank in Hougang and were forced to withdraw $50,000 which the kidnappers made off with.

Neo fled to Malaysia through Woodlands Checkpoint and is still at large.

3. Koh Kian Tiong

You might be surprised to find out that Koh was a part of the Criminal Investigations Department as an assistant superintendent.

He was in charge of the Secret Societies Branch.

Unfortunately, alongside another nine officers, he was bribed by an illegal gambling outlet operator. They were offered cash and entertainment at a KTV pub on Aliwal Street.

Though the illegal operator has been arrested, Koh has fled from Singapore.

4.Muhammad Ridzuan Bin Johan

According to Interpol, Muhammad Ridzuan is wanted for murder.

A fight had broken out at Fullerton Road, where two groups had clashed. One man, Mr Lim Chye Huat, had suffered fatal injuries and passed away as a result.

Muhammad Ridzuan belonged to Lum Keng Mun’s group, who had attacked Mr Lim.

To this date, Mr Lum and others in the group have been punished. Ridzuan, however, is still on the loose.

5. Muhammad Faidhil Bin Mawi

The youngest on the list, Muhammad Faidhil is 35 today.

He is charged with murder as well, for a Central Square gang fight that resulted in the death of a 46-year-old man.

He is reportedly wanted in connection to the attack.

With so many Singaporean murderers around. We better bolt-lock our doors.

Foreigners Wanted By Singapore

1. Febri Irwansyah Djatmiko

The 38-year-old Indonesian man is wanted for murder, being an accomplice in the killing of Dexmon Chua Yizhi.

The other man involved, Chia Kee Chen, plotted the murder as his wife was romantically involved with Mr Chua.

Mr Chua was abducted from his home and fatally assaulted by Febri. Later, his body was dumped in Lim Chu Kang.

Chia had been sentenced to death as he had allegedly ordered Febri to assault Chua.

Febri has since been on the run.

2. Feng Tao

Not much is known about the case, but according to Interpol’s website, Feng has been charged with 12 counts of cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property.

He is from Tianjin, China.

3. Loo Soon Aik

In another grim murder case, Loo is wanted for the murder of a money courier in Singapore.

The victim was found in a stairwell of The Arcade at Raffles Place, with multiple stab wounds.

Loo was supposedly close to the man, and also frequented the place, as reported by MustShareNews. The police are thus looking for him to assist in investigations.

Loo left Singapore soon after the murder.

Hopefully, these suspects will be found and provide some closure to the victims and their family.

See, who say Singapore is 100% safe. Remember to lock your doors and guard your bags at all times.
