Bullying is often irrational.
And the following example more or less sums up why.
ITE Student Suspended for Hitting and Scolding Fellow Student for Using the Urinal in Toilet
According to Mothership, a student from ITE College Central has seemingly been bullied for no other reason than unzipping his pants to use the urinal.
The incident can be witnessed in a recently uploaded video on Instagram page @sg.trendzzz, which showed a youth taunting and kicking another student in the toilet.
In the video, a youth could be seen taunting a student in what appears to be the school’s toilet, as other individuals crowd around the pair.
The youth then asks, “What’s wrong with you bro”, before cornering the victim.
“Why you take out your d*ck and pee?”
He then slaps the victim numerous times on the head.
“You got problem ah?” he asks.
Apology
The youth then demands an apology, and not just any apology either.
He wanted the victim to say “sorry boss”.
Subsequently, the youth says that the victim can leave, but just as the latter proceeds, the youth lands a hard kick in the victim’s calf.
Throughout the whole process, the crowd did nothing but laugh at the youth’s antics.

Outrage
As at 2:00 p.m. , 16 March 2021, the video has collated more than 64,000 views on the Instagram channel.
Netizens, in particular, were nothing short of outraged.

Some called for the dismissal of the offending students in the video, while others voiced the need to lodge a report – a notion which was allegedly fulfilled by another Netizen.
“Already made online report to the police,” the Netizen claims. “So good luck to that guy.”
Meanwhile, one Netizen pointed out how the rationale behind the youth’s antics was utterly smoked.
“”Why you take out your d*ck and pee”.. THEN WHAT WAS HE SUPPOSED TO DO… pee in his goddamn pants?”
As they say, bullying is often irrational.

Response
After the video went viral on the net, both the Minister of State for Education Sun Xueling and the principal of ITE College Central Suresh Natarajan turned up on Facebook to address the issue.
Both expressed awareness of the video, and stated that one of the students has since been suspended.
They were also resolute in their stance against such cases.
Sun added that investigations are currently ongoing, while Suresh expressed that the college has since offered assistance to the victim and his family.

Meanwhile, Netizens have called for more proactive measures to be taken in regards to such issues.
Some have also called for the ‘bystanders’ in the video to be punished as well.
“Actions need to be taken against all the students involved as well,” said a Netizen.
“The school needs to send a very stern and strong message to all the students that bullying is not tolerated in the campus.”
Bullying
Over the last couple of years, several victims of bullying have been associated with attempted suicide.

Previously, Mothership reported that a lower-secondary school girl had been viciously bullied by her schoolmates.
It even got to a point where she actually attempted suicide.
Apparently, the bullying stemmed from her learning disabilities in school, which other classmates picked up on gradually.
And in another instance, a 17-year-old Malaysian teen had been the target of bullying by two of his classmates.
According to China Press, the two bullies had allegedly poured chilli sauce into Jiang’s school bag, poured water on him, and taken his bank card.
Some of Jiang’s classmates claim that he was repeatedly bullied by classmates because he refused to join a secret gang.
At around 6pm on 2 March, Jiang committed suicide by jumping off the 4th storey of a mall in Kulai, Johor.
When the funeral was held, the two bullies could be seen kneeling in front of the coffin and reportedly apologised to the deceased victim.

Jiang’s mother reportedly said to the bullies: “If it was your son who died today, what would you do? You forced my son and left him no choice but to jump.”
