It’s Going to Be Hot for The Rest of February in S’pore, With Temperature Up to 34°C

Quick question: How’s the weather treating you so far during this CNY period?

Hot, hotter or hottest?

I was in the Singapore Zoo recently and smell roasted pork, only to realise that a few boars there has been cooked by the sun. In fact, one of my friends told me that a lizard jumped into a bottle of cooking oil and for some reason, it got fried and landed in a pack of snack even when the bottle was never open, but was left outdoor.

If my nonsense is too subtle, here’s a direct sentence to sum it up all: It’s been HOT AF.

And the bad news?

The heat is going to persist.

No wonder Trump and Kim aren’t coming to Singapore for their latest catch-up session.

February, The Hottest Month of the Year

Lest you’re not aware, February is usually the driest month of the year. And unlike the female biological system of a cat, a dry weather means it’s gonna to be hot.

So earlier this month when you read that it’s going to be hot for the first two weeks (see lah, tell you to come into our app daily liao), you can more or less expect it to be hot in the next two weeks as well.

And the weatherman has confirmed.

According to the latest weather forecast, “the dry and warm weather experienced over Singapore and the surrounding region in the first fortnight of the month are forecast to persist” for the next two weeks.

Now, allow me to be the bearer of some good news first: next week, there might be some rain in the afternoon.

But soon after that, you can expect to smell more roasted pork in the Zoo.

This is due to a “stable atmospheric conditions arising from the presence of a dry air mass over the Southeast Asia region,” but I’ll just argue that this is due to the fact that we’re in Singapore.

Now, the bad-er news: the daily average temperature is 24°C and 33°C. But on days when there are little or no rain, and little or no wind, it can go all the way to 34°C.

And given that we’re not expecting much rain, I’ll suggest that you service your air-conditioner right now before more people read this article.

By the way, just for your info, during the CNY period, the temperature did hit 34.8°C in Admiralty on 9 February 2019.

Rainfall was also below-normal.

I guess it’s real then: if we use more straws, the sun might fall on us soon.
