It’s Official: A&W in AMK Hub is Now Open (9 August 2019) With Regional Best-Selling Menu

When I finally got fired from Goody Feed, I’m going to be a fortune teller.

Because if you’re a handsome or pretty fellow who comes to our app daily, you’d know that I made a prediction a few days back after revealing images of the A&W outlet in Ang Mo Kio: it’s going to open this long weekend.

If only I can also predict 4D numbers

I was there yesterday and it was still closed…but hey, just minutes ago, this email arrived from their PR company:

They so hardworking, sending an email on a public holiday. Luckily I am just as hardworking. Boss, did you see this!?

Yes, it’s official: memories have just landed in Ang Mo Kio.

Situation Yesterday (8 August 2019) Night

When I was there yesterday, it looks complete but a sign showing that they’re still doing internal training was still there.

Lest you’re not aware, unlike normal shops, the ordering station for this A&W is smacked right in the middle of the open area, with seats beside it and seats in another holed area.

The outlet is just above NTUC FairPrice, right in front of Watsons. There’s another eatery just beside it, so I guess if you really can’t tahan the queue, you can just makan there.

The area there isn’t big though it can seat 140 people. I’m forecasting queues to go so crazy, it’s best to avoid the mall if you need to go to AMK Hub just to buy a toothpaste from NTUC FairPrice.

Because this is happening:

Opening hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The outlet at AMK Hub will serve all-time American Favourites such as the A&W Chicken Coney Dog, available with Beef Sauce and Chicken Sauce, Waffle Ice Cream and A&W Root Beer Float, made fresh in stores every day. Best-sellers from the region will also be available at AMK Hub, including fan-favourite A&W Cream Cheese Chicken Burger inspired from A&W Okinawa and A&W Golden Aroma Chicken from A&W Indonesia.

Tips How Getting There Via Driving

Yesterday, parking in the mall wasn’t that bad, but a crystal ball told me that it’s going to be different today: Parking at the mall is going to be a pain in the butt, and you might think of parking at the multi-storey HDB car park beside the mall.

Wrong decision.

Firstly, it’s just as packed and secondly, you need skills to navigate the tight car park there or you’re going to contribute to the numerous wall scars there.

And don’t even think of parking at the very limited open-air carpark illegally beside the HDB car park: parking wardens seem to be working 24 hours there.

Instead, park here:

It’s an open-air car park next to the library, and it’s usually not that packed. You’d need to walk about 10 minutes to the mall, but it’s better than making 3,000 turns in the mall and still can’t find a lot after an hour.

Here’s how the car park looks like:

See you later.
