But you know what’s worse? Imagine being forcefully hugged and kissed.
Oh boy, do we have a story for you.
According to CNA, a 67-year-old man was jailed four months on 22 June for making advances towards his foreign domestic worker.
And by advances, I meant the aforementioned unwanted hugging and kissing.
Neither names can be revealed due to a gag order to protect the latter’s identity.
The incident report only makes it more disturbing.
Sexually Assaulted Her Four Times Within Two Weeks
The maid had been working for the man’s family since December 2018.
However, things got weird on 7 February 2019 when he placed one hand on her shoulder and another hand on her stomach.

He then hugged the maid and kissed her lips, telling her that he liked and loved her.
The maid didn’t reciprocate his feelings and pushed him away.
But that didn’t stop as on 14 February the same year, he touched her arm, hugged her and kissed her on the lips in her room.
He did the same thing the next day while she was feeding the baby.
As the newborn baby was in her arms, she did not move. However, she also did not consent to his actions.

Then, he did the same thing the next day.
This time, though, the maid took action after consulting with a friend and reported the matter to her maid agency.

Charges
The police were alerted to the case and the man pleaded guilty on 22 June this year to two counts of outraging the maid’s modesty.
He also had two additional charges taken into consideration.
Each of the charges could’ve gotten him jailed, fined or both.

As he’s over the age of 50, he can’t be given the cane.
The judge also noted that since the offence was against a maid, the penalties could have gone up to one-and-a-half times the original amount.
It might’ve taken a while but at least he got brought to justice.
