So what happens when you accidentally drove a car and crashed into a playground in the middle of the day?
You panic and run off, leaving your shell-shocked friend still sitting in the passenger seat.
Now, before you think this is something out of a game *coughGTAcough*, it really happened in real life.
Woman Crashes Car Into Playground & Fled The Scene, Leaving Female Passenger Behind
On 17 Sep 2020, at about 11.42am, a woman decided it was a good idea to drive somebody’s car without asking for permission.
The incident reportedly happened at Blk 25 Jalan Berseh.
An eyewitness to the incident told reporters that he heard the sound of a car engine and saw the car speeding towards the playground.
The vehicle came to a stop when it hits a stone bench, he described.

Then, the female driver got out of the wrecked car and quickly ran up the HDB block. A female passenger was still seated within the car, he added.

Half an hour later, the female driver came back dressed in different clothes.
24-Year-Old Woman Arrested
About twenty police officers and police dogs from the K-9 unit were deployed to the scene.
When the police took the pair’s statement, both of them initially denied driving the car. However, one of the pair later confessed to driving the car.
According to the eyewitness who overheard family members scolding the pair, it seems that both of them were involved in a motorcycle accident just two days before.
The police said that a 24-year-old female was arrested for driving the car without seeking consent from the owner.

A Dangerous Act
According to residents living nearby, it was a “blessing” that nobody was hurt.
The area the accident took place at connects two buildings and usually has elderly on wheelchairs passing through.
It is also a place for people to wait for private-hire vehicles.

Thankfully, there were no injuries reported in this incident.
Police investigations are ongoing.
