Business Increased for Man Who Looked Like Jay Chou Selling Egg Pancakes in China

Do you believe in doppelgangers?

Maybe we’ve entertained the thought that somewhere in this world, there’s someone who looks eerily like us.

And no, we don’t mean twins. That doesn’t count, here.

Or maybe you have the fear of one after watching movies like Gemini Man, where a clone tries to kill you.

In fact, there may be some scientific evidence that people having a look-alike may be more common than you think.

Though, if you end up looking like a superstar, this whole look-alike thing may not be so bad.

You might even have some advantages.

Or in this case, a business boom.

One social media user went to buy egg pancakes from a stall in Hebei province of China.

What was unexpected was to find out a pretty accurate doppelganger if famous singer Jay Chou.

That hair looks way too similar.

This was made even more hilarious when people pointed out how this situation looked like the lyrics from one of Chou’s songs called “Waiting For You”.

The boy in the music video tries to win his crush’s affections by making egg pancakes, which is literally what the street vendor is also doing.

You couldn’t write a better coincidence.

Just Wants To Sell More

After a video of the stall owner, Mr Bai, went around, several people went down to try and interview him.

There were allegedly many people trying to take videos of him. Some even said he’d never have to worry about not having any business now.

And Mr Bai’s response? He simply remained humble about it.

He states that he was just normal, and never associated himself with the singer. The man didn’t even want to be internet famous.

However, Mr Bai also said he has been earning a third more than he usually does since he went viral.

The stall has been at the same spot for six years, and he works every day from 7am to 2pm to support his family of five.

Mad respect to this man.

Mr Bai says that he just wants everyone to enjoy his egg pancakes and to sell a little bit more every day.

Jay Chou-looks aside, the pancakes have to be good enough to draw in such good business.

Too bad we can’t try them. Thanks, COVID-19.
