Jay Chou’s Failed Attempt at Photoshop Sparked Rumours That His Wife is Pregnant
A somewhat clumsy attempt to doctor his wife’s belly has backfired for Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jay Chou, fueling rumours that she is pregnant.
Chou and his 27-year-old wife, Hannah Quinlivan, already have two children – a three-year-old son Romeo and a five-year-old daughter Hathaway – after they got hitched in 2015.
But one group photo from a New Year’s Eve celebration involving the couple has sparked speculation that a third child is on the way.

According to The Straits Times, when compared to another post by a friend of the same group, it’s evident that Chou’s photo had been doctored to slim down Quinlivan’s waist.
In the friend’s photo, netizens observed a bump under Quinlivan’s belted trenchcoat.
But that bump magically vanished in Chou’s photo.

Moreover, the table leg behind Quinlivan was also clearly distorted.
Agent Quashes Rumours
However, not everything is as it seems.
Even though Quinlivan was seen in November with a slight swell in her belly, Chou’s agent has since come out and quashed all rumours of a third child.
“It’s just that the clothes are too big,” he said.
One wonders then, why Chou chose to photoshop his wife’s belly if there really was no pregnancy.

Quinlivan, however, has spoken of wanting to have three children in the past.
So, we’ll have to wait and see if these rumours are indeed false.
No Masks or Safe Distancing
Many seemed to have missed the fact that none of the people pictured in the group photo was wearing a mask or practising safe distancing.
In December, Taiwan made the wearing of face masks mandatory in most public venues, with large fines awaiting those who disregard the new rule.
The Taiwan Centers for Disease Control has also advised residents to maintain social distancing of 1.5 meters indoors and 1 meter outdoors.

“Even if people correctly wear face masks, a distance of at least 1 metre must be maintained,” the centre said.
Taiwan has dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic remarkably well, recording just 812 cases in a country of nearly 24 million.
