How to Find the Grab Bus Option on Grab
Let’s get down to brass tacks—here’s how to find the Grab bus option on the Grab app.
First, you must select “More” on Grab’s home page.
Ah… It’s hidden in the tab that almost no one uses. No wonder Singaporeans don’t know about this hack even though it’s been around for ages.
Next, select “Bus & Ferry”. Duh.
Now, key in your pickup and drop-off points.
At this point, @slowberries has a hack for you.
While most of us usually input our pickup point first, things are different when booking the Grab bus. You should select your drop-off point as “JB CIQ Checkpoint” first so that Grab can filter the available pickup points for you.
Multiple pickup points are available, from Woodlands to even Changi Airport.
We’re almost done. Last, confirm the date and time of pickup, buy the ticket, and your travel arrangements to JB are settled!
It’s as easy as that. You know what to do the next time you’re craving some lok lok.
Do note that once the bus reaches the checkpoints, you’ll still have to alight to clear immigration. The bus will wait for 15 to 20 minutes as you clear the checkpoint.
Don’t forget to bring your passport hor.
Transtar isn’t the only bus company offering bus services to JB on Grab—you can also find several other bus companies offering ride bookings on Grab.
If you’d like to book a Grab bus to other destinations in Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur and Malacca, the Grab buses also have your back.
The only thing to do now is to apply for leave.
