If you think people are the only ones missing the malls in Malaysia, think again.
As much as we miss going to the beautiful land of diesel go-kart, shopping paradise and food heaven, the people there miss us too.
And one JB mall decided to show their love for us to the world.
JB Mall Wished S’pore Happy Birthday & Said It Missed Us, Calling Us ‘Bro’
On 9 Aug, R&F Mall in JB took to their Facebook page with a heartwarming message for Singaporeans.
Expressing how much they miss people coming into JB from Singapore, the mall remains optimistic that the upcoming SG-JB project will strengthen the bond between both neighbours.
In the meanwhile, “stay safe, bro. We shall meet again soon”.
And in case we don’t get how much the mall misses us Singaporeans, they’ve decided to show it to the world as well:
Okay, we’re kidding, these pictures are probably photoshopped.
But hey, it’s the thought that counts, right?
R&F Mall JB
If you find the name, R&F Mall, familiar, it was because the mall opened back in 2019 to much fanfare.
The most noteworthy feature of the mall is the luxurious Emperor Cinemas which has settled down within the mall.
Called as the first “luxe cinema” of Southeast Asia, it has the latest projector technology which gives “ultra-crisp images”, “eye-popping colour”, and “dynamic contrast”; in short, an amazing movie-watching experience.
The theatre’s seats are also tailored for maximum comfort according to the operator.
They also have their own unique menu which you can choose from.
The best part?
Tickets From Just $3
2D tickets for this luxe cinema only costs around RM9.00 ($2.98) for kids and RM19.00 ($6.29) for adults.
That’s half the price of standard movie tickets in Singapore for twice the luxury.
R&F Mall is only 30 minutes away from the Woodlands Checkpoint.

I don’t know about you but I genuinely wish that Singapore and Malaysia would work out something that’ll allow us to resume our cross-border activities again, don’t you?
Meanwhile, we have our own birthday message for Singaporeans too:
Stay celebratory but stay safe too, yeah?
