Lawsuit Demands and Breach Allegations

The network technology company claims Jessica failed to fulfill her commercial activity obligations under their agreement. The lawsuit demands a refund of a 10 million RMB (~SGD $1.82 million) advance payment that was paid to the singer.

Additionally, the plaintiff seeks three million RMB (~SGD $546,000) in penalties for the alleged breach of contract. The company is also claiming 100,000 RMB (~SGD $18,200) to cover attorney fees.

The allegations specifically accuse Jessica of failing to appear for scheduled events and not fulfilling promotional responsibilities that were agreed upon in the contract. The partnership with the suing company allegedly stemmed from Jessica’s renewed popularity in the Chinese market.

Agency’s Firm Response and Career Background in China

Coridel Entertainment, Jessica’s management agency, issued an official statement via Weibo categorically rejecting all claims. The agency stated that the accusations are completely fabricated and have no factual basis.

“This false information, which includes malicious slander, personal attacks, and misleading associations, has severely damaged the artist’s reputation and mental well-being,” the company declared in its statement. Coridel Entertainment confirmed that attorneys have been appointed to collect evidence and pursue appropriate legal action against the defamatory content.
