Update on 1 December 2020: The organisers have informed Goody Feed that this is fully redeemed.

Earlier on in the Covid-19 pandemic, healthcare workers were lauded and appreciated for their sacrifice and efforts in keeping us safe and sound.

Well, you’ll be happy to know that it’s not just a “phase” and they’re relegated back to the status of “do not approach, do not touch”.

Because now, a company in Singapore decide to show their appreciation for healthcare workers again.

Healthcare Workers Get Free Entry to Jewel Changi Sky Nets Until 25 Dec

Manulife is a company established in 1980 to provide insurance, retirement and wealth management solutions to clients.

And from 25 Nov 2020 to 25 Dec 2020, they’re also giving each healthcare worker up to four complimentary passes to the Manulife Sky Nets – Walking at Jewel Changi Airport

Set 25 metres above the ground, the attraction is said to be the world’s largest walking net that’ll give you the thrilling sensation of floating high up in the air above the ground.

For safety during this Covid-19 period, the attraction will be sanitised frequently and the number of people within the attraction, limited.

Visitors are also required to have their masks on at all times.

How To Redeem

The most important question of the day: how to redeem the free passes?

The good news is, it’s very simple.

All you have to do is to flash your vocational pass at the Concierge counter located on level 5 of Jewel Changi to redeem the complimentary passes.

The bad news is, of course, that if you want to redeem the passes for your nieces or nephews to have a day of fun without entering yourself, you’ll have to be there in person.

No Community Has Fought Harder Than The Healthcare Community

According to their blog post, they’re doing this month-long initiative in support of the SG Cares Giving Week 2020.

But more than that, they simply want to show appreciation to the frontline staff for their “tremendous effort amid the pandemic this year”.

When the Covid-19 pandemic started, the healthcare workers stayed and combated the disease despite not knowing anything substantial about it.

All they knew was that it’s incredibly infectious and could lead to disastrous consequences but this impressive group stoically trudged on, carrying out their duties.

They had to work long hours and worry about carrying the disease back to their families.

And yet, at times, they are blatantly discriminated against by members of the public, people whom they are trying to keep safe.

While things have substantially gotten better for them (in terms of treatment from the public), they are still fighting hard against the coronavirus while the rest of us are eagerly awaiting Phase 3 and air travel bubbles.

According to Manulife Singapore’s Chief Customer Officer, Darren Thompson, 2020 has been a “whirlwind of a year for everyone” but the community that endured and fought the hardest is the healthcare community.

He further explained that Manulife Singapore hopes, with this gesture, to give the brave healthcare workers a chance to “unwind” and “put their families first, even for a few moments”.
