Cupid has been busy in South Korea, spraying his arrows like he’s having a buffet in the new Swensen’s international buffet, Swensen’s Unlimited, in Changi Airport.
First, we’ve Aespa’s Karina and Lee Jae-wook. Then we’ve Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol.
Now, it’s reported that TWICE’s Jihyo might be dating Yun Sung-bin.
Cupid must be clearing his leave soon, and therefore is rushing all his work now.
TWICE’s Jihyo Reportedly to be Dating Yun Sung-bin, an Olympian & Physical: 100 Contestant
A South Korean publication, Sway, reported on 24 March that Jihyo, a member of the K-pop girl group TWICE, has been in a relationship with Olympic gold medalist and Physical: 100 contestant Yun Sung-bin for a year.
The couple is said to have met through a mutual acquaintance, with their dates often taking place at each other’s residences, which are conveniently located just a few minutes’ drive apart.
An insider revealed, “Sung-bin introduced Jihyo to workout routines. They bonded over shared interests, quickly transitioning from close friends to romantic partners.”
In response to inquiries, Jihyo’s agency, JYP Entertainment, issued a statement saying, “It is difficult to confirm the report as it involves a private matter. We ask for your understanding.”
Similarly, Sung-bin’s agency, All That Sports, responded, “Confirming details about the athlete’s private life is challenging, especially as he is not currently active.”
The Power Couple
Jihyo, born Park Ji-soo on 1 February 1997, in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, is the leader and main vocalist of TWICE, a group formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015.
She embarked on her journey with JYP Entertainment at a young age, training for over ten years before making her debut with TWICE through the reality TV show Sixteen. It was during this time that she legally changed her name to Jihyo.
As a composer, Jihyo made her solo debut with the mini-album “ZONE” on 18 August 2023.
The EP saw considerable success, topping the Circle Album Chart and selling over half a million copies in its first week.
Her lead single, “Killin’ Me Good,” found chart success in multiple countries.
Yun Sung-bin earned international acclaim by securing the gold medal in the men’s skeleton at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
His victory was historic, marking him as the first athlete from outside Europe and North America to win in this category, and by a significant margin.
Also known as “Iron Man,” Yun Sung-bin became familiar to many Singaporeans through his appearance on the Netflix series Physical 100. This reality show brought together 100 competitors from diverse backgrounds to participate in challenges designed to find the “perfect” body.
