Bummed out at not being able to travel overseas for the end of the year?
Well, don’t worry, because while you’re not able to go overseas, Singapore’s golden boy, JJ Lin, will be here in Singapore performing live for you.
Wait, Wut? The Deets, Please
Okay, remember, you asked for it.
JJ Lin will be holding his concert, After The Rain, at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands at the end of this month on 27 and 28 Nov 2021.
Now, before you get too overly excited about it, do note that the tickets aren’t exactly cheap.
It ranges from S$288 to S$688 for a pair of tickets, and if you’re used to going alone, you can’t do it this time.
Tickets are sold in pairs for safe management measures, so you’ll have to look for a friend to go with you.
Tickets will start selling on 16 Nov 2021 from 10am to 11:59pm in the format of a ballot system.
People who are successful in their purchase will be informed on 19 Nov 2021 via email.
It’s For Charity
Now, you’re wondering, would I pay S$288++ to watch him sing?
Well, you’ll be happy to know that this concert is extra meaningful because not only will you see your favourite Singaporean singer (if he is yours), but it’s all for a good cause.
All proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the Community Chest, which does a lot of good deeds like this:
The concert, aptly titled After The Rain has nothing to do with the weather we have in Singapore nowadays.
Instead, the rain refers to COVID-19.
JJ Lin said that, in the past, he used to travel around the world for work, but COVID-19 has removed that aspect of his life.
This allowed him to slow down and reflect on life and music, as well as spend time with his family.
Given how COVID-19 has impacted people both physically and mentally, he hopes that his performance and music will provide “a message of positivity” and help people overcome these difficult times.
What If I Don’t Get Tickets?
Don’t worry, my dear JJ Lin fans.
Even if you can’t get your hands on tickets, don’t get devastated, or desperate enough to feed scalpers on Carousell.
That’s because you can still see your beloved singer through the screen.
The concerts will be streamed live on JJ Lin’s official YouTube, Douyin and Weibo channels on 28 Nov 2021.
You can get more information about the concert from this event page here.
