President-Elect Joe Biden Fractures Foot While Playing With His Dog & Would Need to Wear a Boot for Several Weeks

It appears that President-Elect Joe Biden’s pre-Inauguration journey is one that’s fraught with contention and pain.

For contention, it would be because of Donald Trump’s steadfast refusal to accept defeat, even in the face of staggering figures and results.

Never an easy day when your competitor’s Donald Trump, I would say.

And for pain, it would certainly be the following piece;

An incident that conceptualises a dog lover’s sacrifice, and an ageing man’s pain.

President-Elect Joe Biden Fractures Foot While Playing With Dog & Would Need to Wear a Boot for Several Weeks

President-Elect Joe Biden has sustained a fractured right foot while playing with one of his dogs.

As a result, he would likely need to put on a boot for several weeks.

According to reports, the future President of the United States was injured on Saturday (28 November 2020), and paid a trip to an orthopaedist in Newark, Delaware, on Sunday afternoon.

“Initial X-rays did not show any obvious fracture,” his doctor, Kevin O’Connor, said in a statement. But the implementation of a more comprehensive CT scan uncovered tiny fractures – two small bones in the mid-section of his right foot.

“It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks,” O’Conner said.

Lest you think we’re talking about your army combat boots, here’s what a boot is:

President Donald Trump has since wished his competitor a speedy recovery.

“Get well soon!” he tweeted in response to footage of Biden walking out of the doctor’s office.

Major

Biden is reported to have suffered the injury while playing with Major, one of two dogs that he owns.

The first dog, Champ, was procured after the 2008 election, while Major was adopted in 2018.

Both dogs are expected to move into the White House with the Bidens.

Apparently, the family also plans to get a cat.

Interestingly, the first cat to ever stay in the white house is reported to have been Abraham Lincoln’s pet, Tabby.

As for dogs, Barack Obama was the last President to have his critters, Portuguese water dogs Bo and Sunny, reside with him in 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Current President Donald Trump did not have a pet in the last four years he stayed in the White House.

Age

At 78, Biden will become the oldest United States president ever, when he goes through the inauguration ceremony in January.

And it was certainly a key concern during the election campaign, when he had to fend off questions about his age on a continuous basis.

It doesn’t help that his cholesterol levels are high either.

Just last December, the President-Elect unveiled a doctor’s report: he has to consume a statin in order to keep his cholesterol levels healthy.

But his doctor has since vouched for his physical capability to take over the strongest position in the world, proclaiming him as “healthy, vigorous” and “fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency”.
