Buying things online is a risky business.

Not only are you worried about the seller playing a prank on you, but you’re also worried that the item you buy comes in less than perfect condition.

This was exactly what a homeowner experienced recently.

Here’s what happened.

J&T Delivery Person Threw Parcel Outside of Customer’s House

On 27 May 2021, Facebook user Qamarul Asyraf took to the Facebook page Complaint Singapore to unleash his grievance.

According to his post, he ordered two boxes of Nan4 milk from Shopee, which was delivered by delivery partner, J&T.

At around 11.23pm, the product was delivered.

However, it wasn’t in the manner he had foreseen.

Asyraf has a CCTV facing the outside of his main door, which captured the delivery personnel’s actions.

Walking up to the door, she unceremoniously dropped the parcel on the ground before pressing the doorbell.

A loud thud could be heard in the video when the parcel fell onto the ground.

Items Damaged

When the owner checked his items, this was what he saw: Damaged products.

According to Asyraf, the box was torn and the milk boxes didn’t escape unscathed as well.

He pointed out that even before the delivery personnel threw the box to the ground, part of the box was already damaged.

Seeing her way of handling his parcel, he believes that he probably isn’t the only victim of the mishandling.

Netizens’ Reactions

The post went viral quickly, with over 5.1k shares and over a thousand reactions.

A huge bulk of the responses showed unhappiness with the delivery personnel’s actions.

One felt that she’s not fit for the job while another blamed it on character traits.

Not all comments were busy condemning the J&T staff.

One hopes to know the brand of the IP camera, presumedly because the quality of the video captured isn’t shabby:

Meanwhile, others couldn’t resist taking a shot at the delivery service itself:

Hopefully, the homeowner can get a satisfactory explanation or compensation for his damaged products.
