Since the Covid-19 pandemic has started, people in Singapore suddenly found themselves stuck here with no avenue of escape.
For students who are looking for places to hang out with friends (fewer than 5, please), especially now when it’s the school holidays, here’s a place you might want to check out.
K.STAR Karaoke Has Reopened With Room Rentals Without Singing from $4++ Per Person
On 14 Dec 2020, K.STAR Karaoke announced on their Facebook page a new way for customers to enjoy their facilities without singing.
Called the “best themed karaoke” in Singapore, K.STAR Karaoke is now opening their thematic rooms to students at a special price.
“New Normal” Special Packages
There are two different tiers to choose from:
The first is the $4++ per pax package, from 2 to 6pm, while the second is the $6++ per pax package, from 6 to 10pm (peak hour).
The package includes:
- One-hour room fee (choice of thematic room)
- One cup of soft drink per pax + Free WIFI
- Complimentary games
Student ID must be presented.
Here are a few themed rooms you might want to check out if you’re in the mood to study from somewhere-else-other-than-home:
Of course, do take note that safe-distancing measures still apply so no more than 5 pax to a room, yeah?
For those who are interested, the limit will be increased to 8 pax from 28 Dec 2020 after Singapore enters into Phase 3.

Other Packages
K.STAR isn’t just interested in catering to students either.
You’re a Facebook live streamer and interested in filming in a new location? They have a three-hour package for live streaming in their thematic rooms.
The package includes a 3-hour use of a thematic room, free equipment for live streaming, free WIFI and a jug of soft drink.
Similar to the student package, there are two tiers: peak and off-peak hours.
For peak hours, it goes for $90 per room while for non-peak hours, it’s $60 per room.
There is also the option to celebrate birthdays in their rooms if you want to (maximum five pax):
On a separate note, K.STAR Karaoke has also revealed that they’ll be joining a pilot programme to allow singing at karaoke places again, and will reveal whether they’re eligible for it in “mid-December”.
So if you’re a fan of singing at K.STAR Karaoke, who knows, you might get to do it in the near future.#JustSaying
